Southeast Asia Telecom Operator Base Station Protection Project
Client Background
A leading telecommunications provider in Thailand operates over 1,200 base stations nationwide. Monsoon seasons bring frequent lightning strikes, threatening communication equipment uptime.
Challenge
Base stations require compact, reliable surge protection for sensitive telecom equipment (RF amplifiers, power supplies, transmission units). Previous SPD failures caused costly downtime affecting mobile subscribers.

Our Solution
Wisetree delivered a protection package tailored for telecom infrastructure:
Surge Protective Devices (UC301 Series): Multi-stage surge arresters for AC/DC power lines
Waterproof Junction Boxes: IP66-rated enclosures for outdoor equipment housing
Terminal Blocks: DIN-rail mounted connection terminals for control panels
Air Termination Rods (ASC Series): Lightning air terminals for mast protection
Grounding Clamps & Bonds: Copper-aluminum bonds for tower earthing
Implementation: Wisetree pre-configured SPD units with telecom-specific voltage ratings. Products were delivered to Bangkok warehouse for regional distribution. Our team provided virtual training for 150+ field technicians.
Results:
-
01
98.5% reduction in lightning-related equipment damage
-
